Born in Nashville TN, but raised in France, Jackson Moody was influenced by the music of his Father Carlton Moody (The Moody Brothers), an artist, producer and musician from North Carolina. Carlton was called upon by Disney to Produce and put together shows for their theme park opening up outside of Paris, France in April 1992. 

Jackson fell in love with performing at a very early age and spent most of his childhood in and around the shows at Billy Bob’s as well as the Buffalo Bills Wild West Show at Disneyland Paris. At 8 Years old he got his first guitar from his father. He started to practice more, play more and learn various songs to perform them, live on stage. When Carlton would play festivals around Europe, Jackson would often accompany him playing rhythm guitar and singing several songs 

In his early teens he began to write his own songs. With his father also being a songwriter, he learned to co-write with him, all the while learning more about music. After high school Jackson toured with his father playing festivals around Europe, as well as filling in for various bands at the Billy Bob’s Saloon in Disneyland Paris. 

In 2013 Jackson made the move to Nashville, TN to pursue his career in music. Focusing on writing, teaming up with different co-writers, performing at writer rounds and occasionally getting work playing bass, guitar and mandolin on sessions. One of his favorite spots to record to this day is Omni Sound Studios on Music Row. 

After a few years of getting his feet wet in Music City, he released his first album “The Road” in 2015. It was recorded at RicHavoc studios in Madison, TN and Electric Piggy in Nashville. Thanks to his following in Europe he was able to play a few festivals with this album in hand. 

In the meantime Jackson has been keeping busy when not on the road, playing shows with multiple groups up and down Broadway. Out on the road with JessLee, in 2018 and 2019, they would play shows in the Southeast and the Midwest. This is about the time he started playing with Matt Poling and Shelby Lee Lowe, opening up for acts such as Darryl Worley and Sawyer Brown. 

In 2021, accompanying JessLee, they performed for the first time at Country Fest in Cadot, Wisconsin. This is also the year he joined Kalie Shorr and Sam Varga, respectively, as their bass player and BGV’s. After playing several shows with Kalie Shorr, they hit the road in November 2021 as one of the supporting acts for All Time Low on the final leg of their 2021 tour in Canada as well as the west coast of the USA. Back in Nashville he continues to perform live on Broadway while not on the road,  with the Stashe Band, and plays in an acoustic duo with Matt Poling.
